Spring is about to come

Spring is about to come

Hello and Happy Sunday to you all!

While I am enjoying Palm Beach soon I’ll be back in Florence—the city of art and love— and start on my Spring Summer 2024 collection. Oh, how I missed it!

So exciting! This is one of the many times of the year when everything is about creativity and a new beginning.

I hope you all got a chance to go over your new year’s goals and make a plan, cause 2023 is all about growing and blooming.

Think of it this way: If you’ve been watering yourself all 2022, then this is the year when you’re finally going to blossom! If today is when you’re first starting to work on yourself, cheers to that! I know something beautiful will come out of your hard work.

Speaking of which...

It’s Time For a Fresh 2023-2024 Spring Collection

I’ve been in Palm Beach for the last few weeks, working hard on everything you'll see arriving in the Ateliers this month. I am so excited to hare them all with you.

Soon in Florence I will start creating mood boards and creating ideas from my city of art and love to kickstart the new collection in style.

Once I've got those boards ready, I'll be back in Palm Beach where the sun is good with us and the season is in full swing.

How’s Life In Palm Beach? Let Me Fill You In!

It has been a great season in Palm Beach, and things are wonderful. In the ateliers, there are busy days full of fittings, models, and sketching.

I am busy making sure my clients feel perfect for their big events, whether it's a wedding, a charity gala, an important meeting or just casually enjoying life.

This is a busy time for everyone, especially for the fashion industry. From open-air markets to extravagant dinners and parties, there's no limit of things to do and places to see.

The weather is beautiful right now. If you're thinking about getting away for a weekend (or even just a few hours), come and visit me!

The sunsets are gorgeous, the water is warm, and there's plenty to do if you're not into beach-related things.

If you're going to be out and about all day, make sure your look is comfortable but still chic.

It does not have to be a super dressy attire while you stroll on Worth Avenue but you have to leave your athleisure wardrobe home!!

Your look should reflect yourself but still easy to put together. If all else fails, just throw on some shades and call it a day!

What to do while in Palm Beach? Wow...the list is endless:

  • Get warm and forget that humid cold blizzard you left behind home
  • Get Vitamin D....a lot and I am not talking about the daily supplements in pills😂
  • Leave your phone home!! You will not get lost while here and even if it will happen...go East and enjoy the Beach someone will help you there!!
  • Stroll with your loves ones and spend time together, life is short and a sunset walk hand in hand will benefit all of us
  • ....well if you need any recommendations while here, just write to me it is easier and faster

And more! There are so many things to do in Palm Beach and its surroundings during this time of year - just come and see!

Florence - I’m Coming!

I'll try to post some pics as soon as I get there, bare with me on Instagram!!

I'm looking forward to seeing my friends, eating all of my favorite foods (Coccoli with Prosciutto e Stracchino), and getting inspired by all of the beautiful architecture. It's going to be a fun time!

Florence is a place of history, art, and beauty. The perfect place to get inspired for a new collection! The city is famous for its Renaissance architecture, but what it truly represents is the best in human ingenuity, creativity and passion.

So, I am going to Florence to get inspiration for the new fashion collection. This spring I will launch a new line that combines ancient designs with modern noble fibers to create a unique look that will be both timeless and elegant.

Now if you ask my husband Giulio he will tell you that Rome is the city you must visit!! He was born there and spent the biggest part of its life before I stole his heart and converted to the beauty of Florence. OK to be fair Rome is gorgeous and must be visited (ask him for any tips and direction...if you get lucky he will be in the Shoes Atelier on Worth Avenue) and yet he will tell you as well that overall after a visit, going back to Tuscany and Florence allow everybody to enjoy a concentration of beauty and flavors. Florence is...well you know what it is...then if you feel like going skiing 50 min and you can reach the slopes, if it is the sea you are dreaming of, 50 min and you are in Forte de' Marmi and if it is the feeling of getting lost and be out of reach from any Mobile Carrier 😂 well start driving in any direction and visit all the little villages in the Tuscan Countryside.

Now if you are already in Florence now, please consider that Florence and many of the surrounding towns will draw hundreds of people dressed up in original costumes inspired by everything that stimulates one's fantasy and creativity....it is CARNEVALE!!

Doesn't everyone want to join in for some dancing to the Carnival's festive rhythm?

February is perhaps even more popular for romance and St. Valentine's Day, the holiday for lovers. It's not by chance that Florence and Tuscany are commonly considered to be some of the most romantic places in the world, whose breathtaking panoramas and suggestive landscapes have inspired romantic love and eternal promises since the beginning of time.

Ask me at anytime if you would like to surprise your partner and capture her (or his) eternal love with an event right here in Florence. Then maybe a walk after dinner, a bottle of wine and two glasses while you stroll along the Lungarni before stopping and taking a seat on Ponte Vecchio and enjoying the unique views on the city - priceless!

For the one in search of some excitement (or the one that will miss the 2023 SuperBowl😂) on Feb 17th you have the opportunity to witness a historic pageant, that will include a steady procession of Florentines in the dress from the mid-1500s: La Partita dell'Assedio. This rough and rugged game, traditionally played between the Bianchi and the Verdi, was a valiant attempt to keep spirits high during the siege of 1529 when Charles V surrounded the city walls. Normally, you can only see the game Calcio Storico in June so if you are here in February, do miss this thrilling opportunity

Finally…

I am truly thankful for each and every one of you who stops and visit me at the Ateliers, even if it’s just to say hello! I really hope we get to see more of each other in 2023.

As for this year, there are a lot of things to check off the list! We're taking everything step-by-step. Remember to dress well, stay true to your style, and try out new things when you feel like it.

As I always quote: "Sometime is good to step out of your confort zone"

Now, on to the monthly tip!

How To Clean Luxury Materials: Cashmere and Satin

Cleaning satin and cashmere can be a bit of a challenge, but with these tips, we'll make it so easy you'll wonder why you ever worried about it!

Satin and cashmere are luxury fabrics that require special care. To keep your favorite cashmere and satin items looking their best, I recommend following these steps:

1. Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent that won't damage the fibers. You should always wash your satin and cashmere by hand

2. Rinse thoroughly, then lay flat to dry on a towel or line outside in the sun (if weather permits)

3. If you prefer to use an iron, turn it on at medium heat and press lightly with a clean cloth between passes until completely dry
